For women who had a baby gain wings, the Halo & Wings Project provides a symbolic halo and wings to moms to be clothed in their child's spirit. A satin bonnet and warm robe are presented with a letter from moms who have come through the pain of losing a baby to assure the mom that she is not alone. Contact a team member to refer a loved one. 

The Grief to Action Project equips women who are ready to transform their grief into positive action and make a profound difference in the lives of others. Participants meet with community activists, learn from nonprofit leaders, craft their stories, and develop a personal action plan. A series of lessons are taught on cultural competencies, maternal health, multicultural health, infant mortality, and maternal mortality. The first class is anticipated to be offered in the fall of 2022. 

SBM Women of the Year awards honor extraordinary women who improve the quality of life for families impacted by infant mortality and maternal mortality.

SBM Advocate of the Year recognizes businesses and individuals who go above and beyond in advocating for equitable maternal health care for Black women.

Loss can be all-consuming grief. I Am More Than reminds women that they are more than their grief.  Women are selected to be showered with a day of pampering by our Wellness Partners. This service helps women return to their daily routines with confidence. 

Marriage Unbroken is a strengthening retreat for marriages impacted by the loss of a child. Couples are given a unique opportunity to connect with other couples who have navigated through the death of a child. Based on Christian principles, couples engage in activities to strengthen communication, intimacy, shared goals, prayer, and laughter through friendship. Request more information.
