The abortion ban goes into effect on September 15. Senate Bill 1 does not apply to in vitro fertilization and provides exceptions for rape, incest, lethal fetal abnormalities, and when the pregnant person’s life is in danger. Indiana is the first state to approve abortion ban post Roe v Wade.
